Braiding Bridges is a non-profit organization that collects, organizes and sends friendship bracelets (crafted by American youth) to troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq. The soldiers we send to have direct contact with civilians, and distribute the colorful bracelets to the Iraqi and Afghan children they meet. In essence, volunteers who participate in this project are “Braiding Bridges”, or fostering friendships and building relationships with the children who receive these bracelets.
